The Roxburgh Park Football Club will take on a new look in 2018 as we have a new "Magpies Nest" under construction. The current social rooms are being demolished and are being replaced by this new $1.5M facility.
The stunning new rooms have been designed by the team at Loft Architecture and will provide a fresh new look to the club as we look for a fresh start in season 2018. The new pavilion at Lakeside Drive, houses a Social Room, Commercial Kitchen, Bar and associated amenities. The building form is derived by folding its metal clad envelope into walls and roofline as a piece of origami.
The new undercover area out the front of the rooms will ensure our supporters stay dry while watching us take it up to the rest of the Essendon District Football League Division 2 sides, and the new bar and kitchen will have serveries to allow those outside the rooms to still be served.
The new social rooms are planned to have a grand unveiling on April 28th for our first home game of the season against Keilor Park Football Club, subject to the works being completed on time.
The club would like to thank the Hume City Council for their funding of this project and all at the club who have made this possible.
